Windows 98 installation procedure for ALS120 WDM driver:

1. After user installs the ALS120 sound card into the ISA slot in the computer
and powers on the system, Windows 98 will prompt user with a "New Hardware
Found" dialog box since the ALS120 sound card is ISA plug and play. To
install the Windows 98 drivers, select "Driver from disk provided by
hardware manufacturer" and click on OK.
2. Insert the "ALS120 Win 98 Drivers and Utilities" diskette into the
appropriate drive and select that drive from the prompted dialog box and
click on OK. Windows 98 will copy all the needed files and set up all the
logic devices on the board automatically.
3. Install the ALSRACK player by running the SETUP.EXE file (also provided on
the "ALS120 Win 98 Drivers and Utilities" disk) from the Windows 98 Start
menu|Run. This will create the Avance Sound Program Group with the ALSRACK
utility icon. (See Appendix below for full descriptions of ALSRACK
functions).

Windows NT installation procedure for ALS120:
1. Insert the "ALS120 Windows NT Drivers and Utilities" diskette
into drive A:, and within CONTROL PANEL/DRIVERS/ADD/UNLISTED OR UPDATED
DRIVER, choose "OK". While installing, "Driver Exists" warning message
will appear and will ask to keep the old "midimap.cfg" or re-install.
Please choose re-install, or else midi will not function properly.
For Winnt4.0 installation procedure for ALS120:
1. Insert the "ALS120 Windows NT Drivers and Utilities" diskette
into drive A: or B:, and within CONTROL PANEL/MULTIMEDIA/DEVICE/ADD,
choose "OK". While installing, "Driver Exists" warning message will
appear and will ask to keep the old or re-install. Please choose
re-install, or else it will not funtion properly.
NOTE: If your joystick(analog) is not recognized by the system, please
follow the driver installation procedure as mentioned in readme except
that the driver source will be in your WinNT 4.0 CD-ROM under
\DRVLIB\MULTIMED\JOYSTICK\X86 when asked for. For digital game pad or joystick,
drivers are available from the list provide by your WinNT system.
