--------
This web image contains Win9x drivers, Audio InControl Tools, and Update
Wizard for the Monster Sound MX400 sound card. For filesize consideration
Microsoft's DirectX is not included.
Software Installation Instructions
----------------------------------
If you HAVE NOT yet installed your Monster Sound MX400 drivers,
follow these instructions:
1. Be sure you hardware is properly installed before proceeding.
2. Follow the installation instructions located in the online manual.
When prompted for the installation files, click cancel. When the
OS has finished booting, continue with the next section.
Software Upgrade Instructions
-----------------------------
If the Monster Sound hardware is installed in the computer,
follow these instructions:
1. Run the MX400_win9x_2008.exe program that you have downloaded. The
contents will be extracted to your C:\Diamond\Update folder by
default.
2. Browse the \Install folder created and run the "INSTALL.EXE"
program to launch the driver installer.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to upgrade your Monster Sound MX400
drivers and software.

MX400 Uninstall Routine
=======================
Extract the files to any directory. The default (your desktop) should
be fine. If you want to place them into a different directory, you may extract the files
into any other directory on your hard drive. As long as both files are placed in the
directory, the uninstall should work once you run RemoveMX400.exe.

Release Notes

These are the most recent Windows NT drivers for the SupraExpress 56i
Pro V CC modem, SUP2760. These drivers will not work with other
modems or operating systems.
Installation Instructions
-----------------
You should print this document for easy reference.
1. Download the file onto your hard disk or floppy disk. In your browser, click on the
appropriate file name. Your browser should prompt as to where you would like
save the file. You should note the location (i.e. c:\windows\temp, a:\, etc).
2. When the download is complete, you should disconnect from the internet and close all open
programs.
3. You should then need to extract the files from the downloaded file. Click Start\Run\Browse.
Locate the appropriate file. It should be in the noted location from step 1 above.
Click OK and then OK again. Click OK to the initial extractor window.
4. A Self-Extractor window should appear. "C:\TEMP" should appear in the Unzip To
Folder window. This is the default location. If you want to change this, enter the appropriate
location. For most purposes it should not be necessary to change this. Uncheck the box to Run Setup.
Click on the Unzip button.
5. After the files have been extracted click OK to the "success" window and then Close to exit
the extractor program. At this point the files have been extracted and you should be able to install the modem.
WARNING: Do NOT attempt to manually add this modem. This is a software-controlled modem and requires that you run the appropriate setup file in order to install. Attempting to manually add the modem may result in the need to reinstall the operating system.
NOTE: You must ensure that you are logged in as Adminstrator only. It is not sufficient
to be logged in with adminstrative priveledges.
6. Click Start\Run\Browse. Locate the setup.exe file that was extracted (from step 4, the default
is c:\temp). Click OK and then OK again. This should open the Installation Wizard.
7. Click Next to advance from the Welcome window of the Installation Wizard.
8. Confirm that the checked selection is for your modem (you should only have one choice). Click Next.
9. If the Wizard asks for the location of a file, enter the folder into which the extracted files are located (from step 4, the default is c:\temp). You can also Browse to the file location. Click OK.
10. If prompted (in most cases you should not get a prompt), select the country in which you are located. Click OK.
11. The Wizard will display the name of the modem that was installed. Click Finish.
Your modem should now be installed and ready for use.
