Differences from the Windows XP™ driver are listed below:
?? DTS Neo:PC will not shown when system input is 4 or 6 ch. It only use for 2ch
upmix.
?? “Dolby Virtual Speaker” (DVS) and “Dolby Headphone”(DH) will not allow
adjustment of DTS Neo:PC or Dolby ProLogic IIx in the DSP mode UI. By default, it
is set to Dolby ProLogic IIx with fixed parameters when DVS or DH turns on. This is
a rule set by Dolby Lab for theWindows Vista™ operating system.

?? The copy mode defaults to on. Only turn off when others upmix DSP are on, such
as DPL2x or DTS Neo:PC. For example, when your system input is 2CH, and you
set the audio output to 8ch without PL2x or Neo:PC, then the sound will upmix to
every channel. If you play a mp3, you will hear the mp3 on every channel
(front/side/CB/back ).
?? The logic flow is:
Audio ? system (system input) ? DSP ? Output (Analog or Digital)
Everything goes into the system input first, then to output. For example, when your
system input is 2CH, analog output is 8ch and everything will be downmixed to 2ch
first, before it goes to 8ch output. In this case you would click any one of your
speaker tests, and the sound would be downmixed to 2ch (such as back surround
or side surround), before sending 8ch. Under C-Media's default "copy mode open"
setting, you will hear any channel that has sound.
System input:
System input specifies the digital file format you will use. For example: if you play
mp3 or CD, please choose 2 channel format. Choose 6 channel when you watch
DVD disc:

?? Do not change the system input when audio is playing. Doing so will stop your audio
application. System input needs to maintain the same configuration to inform Vista
how to process the output H/W. This limitation is also a new rule of the Vista O/S.
?DSP mode: This mode allows you to enable the Virtual Speaker function when you
double click the icon.
?Output mode: This mode indicates the the number of analog channels to output
under the current configuration.
