Precautions on Installation
-------------------------------
In Windows95/98, when reinstalling the printer driver after deleting, on
the screen where you can choose the available printer port, a rare
phenomenon which prevents you from specifying may occur, because
[PICTRO SCSI: FUJIFILM PICTRO SCSI Port] is not displayed.
If this occurs, click on the [Cancel] button to stop installation and
reinstall after restarting the computer.
In Windows95/98, if you reinstall the printer driver after deleting, an
error message may appear when printing saying ["Bilateral communication
function" not enabled.], preventing you from printing. In this case, go
to the [Details] screen of [PICTROGRAPHY3500 Properties] and check [Enable
bi-directional support for this printer] in the [Spool Settings] which is
displayed by clicking on the [Spool Settings...] button and then print.
Also, in some rare cases, [Enable bi-directional support for this printer]
cannot be checked (unable to select) in the situation mentioned above.
In this case, reinstall the printer driver according to the following
procedures:
1. Open the [Details] screen of [PICTROGRAPHY3500 Properties] and change
[Print to the following port:] to a port other than [PICTRO SCSI:
FUJIFILM PICTRO SCSI Port]
2. Click on the [Delete Port*] button and delete [PICTRO SCSI: FUJIFILM
PICTRO SCSI Port].
3. Delete [PICTROGRAPHY3500]（Printer driver）from the [Printers] folder.
4. Restart the computer.
5. Reinstall the PICTROGRAPHY3500 Printer driver.
For the printer driver installation procedure, please refer to the
instruction manual attached.
6. Restart the computer.

Notes on Upgrading the Printer Driver

Follow the steps below to upgrade the printer driver.
1. Uninstall the current printer driver.
2. Restart the computer.
3. Install the new printer driver.
4. Restart the computer.
For details in installing and uninstalling the printer driver software,
please refer to the supplied instruction manual.
Follow the steps below to upgrade the printer driver when it is installed
only on the network printer on a Windows NT 4.0/2000/XP-based network.
1. Set the [PICTROGRAPHY 3500 Printer Driver] CD-ROM into the computer.
2. Double click "UPDATE.EXE" in the folder on the CD-ROM containing the
printer driver for Windows NT 4.0.
3. After the [PICTROGRAPHY Printer Driver Update] screen appears, click
the [OK] button to start the upgrade. When the upgrade has completed,
a screen appears indicating that the upgrade has completed.
4. Restart the computer.
If you do not restart the computer, the upgrade will not go into
effect.
"UPDATE.EXE" is a utility program for updating the PCITROGRAPHY 3500
printer driver file. If the printer driver has not been installed, the
upgrade will not be conducted.
When upgrading the printer driver, make sure all printing has been
completed before starting the upgrade procedure.
