4. KNOWN LIMITATIONS
For certain motherboard chipsets, Windows 95, 98 and Me will
fail to assign the ClassicBoard PCI an IRQ. Consequently,
the card's ports will be inaccessible.
If Windows fails to open any ClassicBoard PCI port after what
appears to be a successful installation, first check that
the ClassicBoard PCI is assigned an IRQ:
1. From the Start menu, choose Settings > Control Panel >
System > Device Manager. View devices by type should
already have been selected by default.
2. Expand the Multi-port Serial Cards category (click on
the plus-in-the-box to expand the list of serial cards).
3. Highlight the ClassicBoard PCI card and choose Properties.
4. Select the Resources tab.
5. Under Resource settings should be an Interrupt Request
Resource type. If you don't see an Interrupt Request
listed, you may need to upgrade the PCI IRQ Routing
Miniport Driver.

4. KNOWN LIMITATIONS
The driver supports ClassicBoard PCI adapters only.
The ClassicBoard ISA adapter is not supported.
AltPin and DTR/DSR flow control are not compatible.
5. ADDITIONAL NOTES
Online help is available when you install the product.
AltPin
------
10-pin RJ-45 plugs may be difficult to obtain in the retail
market; therefore, the device driver software incorporates
a feature called AltPin, which swaps the logical functions
of DSR (Data Set Ready) with DCD (Data Carrier Detect). When
the AltPin box is checked, DCD becomes available on pin 1
of an 8-pin RJ-45 connector (equivalent to pin 2 of a 10-pin
connector).
Force Baud Rate
---------------
With the Force Baud Rate feature, the device driver software
forces the baud rate of a COM port to a fixed value. This
enables older serial communication applications to use baud
rates above the applications configuration limit (e.g. 115200).
If Force Baud Rate is enabled, the driver replaces the
applications baud rate with the forced baud rate value.
