This readme provides the information needed to install and use the HPT366 device driver for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.
The Windows NT sub-directory (\NT) on the driver diskette contains the following files: HPT366.SYS A HPT366 device driver for Windows NT 4.0 OEMSETUP.INF A file used by Windows NT 4.0 Setup for driver installation README.TXT An ASCII text file describing the HPT366 device driver for Windows NT 4.0 TEXTSETUP.OEM A file used during Windows NT installation HPT366.TAG A tag file required during during Windows NT installation DISK1 A flag of device driver which is required during Windows NT installation #############################################################################
The first time install a Windows NT system with HPT366 device driver
1. Install Windows NT from CD-ROM without specifing any option
2. Windows NT will create three floppies for second phase installation
3. Install Windows NT from the floppy
4. When Windows NT ask for addtional host adapter, please slect SCSI type host adapter
5. Then Windows NT will ask you to install device driver for that SCSI type host adapter (HPT366)
6. After installation HPT366 files from floppy, users can see "HPT366 Ultra DMA hosta dapter"
7. Following the step to continue installation of Windows NT
