1.Download the file MTD_Alps_535109a.exe, and save it to a download directory. (Please note this directory for reference.)

Uninstall Previous versions of VAIO Edit Components or DVgate Plug-in
1.Open [Control Panel] and double-click [Add/Remove Programs].
2.Select either [VAIO Edit Components] or [DVgate Plug-in for Adobe Premiere] and click [Change/Remove].
3.Click [OK] and then click [Finish].
4.Close the [Add/Remove Programs] window.
5.If your using VAIO Edit components or DVgate Plug-in with Adope Premiere 6.5, please proceed with steps 6 through 7 here below to delete the preset files.
6.Open the folder [C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Adobe\Premiere\Settings]. If the Application folder is not visible, please select [Tools]-> [Folder Options]-> [View]-> [Show hidden files and folders].
7. If the following folders exist, please delete them manually for each user accounts on the computer: "VAIO Edit Components - NTSC", "VAIO Edit Components - PAL", "DVgate Plug-in - NTSC" or "DVgate Plug-in - PAL".

Installation Instructions
1. Open the folder C:\vec_le_03180_xxx and double-click Setup.exe.

- Depending on your VAIO model, you may be prompted during the installation of VAIO Media 4.1 to upgrade SonicStage and Giga Pocket or VAIO Zone. To get these updates, please visit the download section of our website.
- This release adds some new functionality to VAIO Media software. Please read carefully the Help files for more information on the usage of VAIO Media 4.1.
- Notes concerning the Sony's Network Media Receivers (PCNA-MR10 and VGP-MR100): VAIO Media 4.1 has been designed to DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) interoperability guidelines. VAIO Media 4.1 is required to use the VGP-MR100 which will also be compatible with the DLNA guidelines. This new media receiver can connect to VAIOs and/or DLNA-compliant server products. VAIO Media 4.1 can also be used to connect to the previous media receiver PCNA-MR10 which is not DLNA compliant. Normally, the PCNA-MR10 displays media items in predefined categories: Photo, Music, Video, and it requires that the media to be shared being stored in specific locations on the server. However, This will result in some items not being displayed in their appropriate category; for e.g.., you may see some music items when you choose the Photo menu, etc. This is NOT a bug and should be taken into consideration when using VAIO Media 4.1 with the PCNA-MR10! To workaround this problem, we advise you to save your media files in folders and register these folders on the server to the VAIO Media console. For more information about this, please read the Help files that come with VAIO Media 4.1.
This update is to be installed on the VAIO models which are preinstalled with a previous version of VAIO Media 2.0/2.5/3.1.

Download and Installation Procedures
Close all running applications.
1. Download SOAVMS-00900004-UN.exe and save it to a download directory
2. Double-click SOAVMS-00900004-UN.exe
3. The VAIO Media 4.1 Upgrade Program InstallShield Wizard starts
4. Wait while the contents of this package is being extracted to your computer
5. Click Next and wait while Setup performs the requested operation
6. Click OK to remove the previous VAIO Media version from your computer
7. The Shared File Detected dialog may be displayed
8. Check the "Don't display this message again" and click Yes
9. Click Finish
10. You may have to repeat the above steps until all components of the previous VAIO Media are uninstalled
11. Click OK to restart your computer.
12. After the computer restarts, the update wizard resumes automatically
13. Wait while setup installs the new software
14. When the installation is complete, click OK to restart the computer.

This upgrade can only be installed if you already have VAIO integrated media server or above on your system if you haven't installed version 4.1 or above then please make sure to install it before installing this update
Please note that in order to install VAIO integrated media server 4.1 or above you need to have at least VAIO ZONE 1.2 installed on your VAIO. If VAIO Zone 1.2 is not yet installed, please make sure to upgrade to VAIO Zone 1.2 prior to installing VAIO integrated Media Server 4.1

This module is a firmware updater for Windows.
It updates UJDA745's firmware to 1.04

Fixed bugs:- Improved the reading performance.

IMPORTANT NOTES: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Do not shutdown the unit while the Firmware update procedure is in progress.
Do not stop the Firmware update procedure while in progress.
Not following any of the above, could severely damage your system !!

How to verify if your unit has a Matshita UJDA745?

1. Click on the Start button and than right click on My Computer.
2. Click on Properties.
3. Select the Hardware tab and than click on Device Manager.
4. Double click on DVD/CD-ROM drivers.
5. Verify now that you can see Matshita UJDA-745 DVD/CDRW.
6. If you have the corresponding drive, than you can proceed with the Firmware upgrade.

Download the Upgrade:1. Double click "Matshita_UJDA745_FW_104".
2. Select a folder, where this file will be saved to, for example C:\Matshita
3. Click "Save".

Extract the file to the harddisk:1. Go to the folder where the file (Matshita_UJDA745_FW_104.exe) has been saved.
2. Double click "Matshita_UJDA745_FW_104".
3. Make sure under 'Unzip to folder' "C:\Matshita\UJDA745" is mentioned.
4. Then click "Unzip". The files will be extracted to the folder C:\Matshita\UJDA745.
5. When a window appears with "1 file(s) unzipped successfully", click OK.
6. Click "Close" to close the application.

Upgrade instructions

1. Open the Windows Explorer and go to the following folder: "C:\Matshita\UJDA745".
2. Double click "Matshita UJDA745 (FW1.04)". This will start the update utility.
3. Follow the instructions and click OK
4. Read the instructions and click OK
5. Please do not turn off the computer until the upgrade is completed.
6. After a certain time, a window will appear which mentions you that the update has successfully been completed. Than click on the Exit button.
7. Please shut down Windows and restart you system.

How to identify the new version?

1. Use the update tool to identify the new version.
2. Go to the following folder: "C:\Matshita\UJDA745"
3. Double click on the update tool: Matshita UJDA745 (FW1.04)
4. A window will tell you that the firmware of the drive is already up to date. So it has the correct Firmware.
5. Click Exit.

2. Close all running programs
3. Go to the download directory and double-click INDWLL-00449514-UN.exe
4. The Device Driver Installation Wizard starts
5. Click Next
6. Wait while setup installs the new driver
7. Click Finish
8. Restart the computer to complete the driver installation

IMPORTANT NOTES!
=> Deselect Wireless Switch Setting Utility from launching at Windows Startup
1. Click Start and click Run
2. Type msconfig in the Open box and click OK
3. Click the Startup tab
4. Uncheck Switcher
6. click OK and click Restart
7. After the computer restarts, select the Don't Display This Message Again
8. Click OK

=> Use an alternative method for switching wireless radio on or off
1. Make sure the hardware Wireless switch is enabled
2. Right-click My Computer and click Properties
3. Click the Hardware tab
4. Click Device Manager
5. Double-click Network adapters
6. Double-click the Intel PRO/Wireless adapter in use.
7. On the Advanced tab, click Wireless On/Off to toggle the radio off and on
8. Click OK

4. Double-click the Add or Remove Programs
5. Select BlueSpace NE in the Add or Remove Programs dialog box and click Remove
6. Click OK to completely remove the application
