I am experiencing intermittent connections to my ISP when my VAIO is connected to the docking station.

1. Download instructions
Create a new folder to place the file downloaded from the web - Name it Download.
Download the USB Ethernet Drivers file into the Download folder (NWD_klsi_33200.exe (41KB)).
When the download is complete, right-click My Computer and click Explore. Once in Windows Explorer, click the View menu and click Details. Browse to the location of your file to check the size of it. If the driver size is the same, your download has been successfully completed, if the size is different, delete the file you have downloaded and restart the download.
The KLSI USB Ethernet.exe file you have downloaded is a self extracting file.
Use Windows Explorer and enter KLSI USB Ethernet.exe to open the file.
Double-click the NWD_klsi_33200.exe icon - A WinZip Self-Extractor dialogue box appears.
2. Driver update instructions
After downloading the driver, follow the instructions below to update the driver in Windows.
Make sure your VAIO is properly connected to the docking station.
Start your VAIO.
On your desktop, right-click the icon My Computer, and click Properties.
In the System Properties window, click the Device Manager tab and double-click the Network adapters.
Double-click the Klsi USB-Ethernet Device Adapter and click the Driver tab and click Update drive
Follow the on-screen instructions of the Update Device Driver Wizard.
Select Search for a better driver than the one your device is using now and click Next.
Select only Specify a location, click Browse and point to the downloaded driver location.(i.e. C:\ Download)
Click Next to finish the installation.
Shut down your VAIO, restart it and get the BIOS defaults.
3. Update driver for internal Conexant modem
In order to resolve your issue completely, it is also necessary to update the driver for the internal Conexant modem of your VAIO. You will find the relevant driver update and the installation procedure on our web site under the download section for the PCG-F700 series.

Download Instructions

Installation Instructions
1. Open Device Manager (Right-click My Computer - click Properties - Hardware tab - Device Manager button.)
2. In Device Manager, expand Mice and other pointing devices.
3. Double-click Alps Pointing-device. The Alps Pointing-device Properties dialog box is displayed.
4. Click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver. The Update Device Driver Wizard starts.
5. Click Next. Select Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver.
6. Click Next. Click Have Disk.
7. The Install From Disk dialog box appears. Type or browse to C:\TPD_alps_535047b
8. Click Open. Click OK.
9. Click Next. An Update Driver Warning message appears.
10. Click Yes. Click Next. Wait while Windows installs the new software.
11. Click Finish.
12. Close the Alps Pointing-device Properties dialog box.
13. Click Yes to restart the computer.
After the computer restarts, the installation of the driver is complete. For VAIO PCG-SR1K/SR11K/SR21K/SR31K, however, you must accomplish the following additional steps:14. After you log on to Windows, open C:\TPD_alps_535047b
15. Double-click the file "sr.reg".
16. A Registry Editor message appears. Click Yes.
17. Click OK.
18. Restart the computer.

1. Download and save this file to a download directory.
2. Close all running programs.
3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click it.

5. Restart the computer when the installation is completed.

Utilities Download and Installation procedure
Create a directory named C:\Utilities.
Download the utility file and save it to the C:\Utilities directory.
Go the download directory, and double-click the utility.exe file.
The WinZip Self-Extractor program starts.
In the Unzip to folder box, type C:\Utilities.
Click Unzip - A sub-directory will be created.
Go to this sub-directory.
Run the Setup process.
Follow the onscreen instructions.
Restart your computer.
