for
Win2000/XP/ME/98
The SiS AGP driver is installed for AGP bus used by VGA Card.It offer efficient
functions for VGA driver.With installation of AGP driver,it provide high
performance and good compatibility for different hardware.
This package include four parts.
1. WinXP/Win2000 AGP filter driver: Which can support AGP 8x chipset if chipset and VGA card support.
2. WinME/Win98 AGP miniport driver:Which can support AGP 8x chipset if chipset and VGA card support.
3. Some Windows patches:
SIS_LIB.DLL,SISPORT.SYS (winxp) : they are used for reading PCI port.
SiSUSBrg.exe (winxp): Add registry for USB bug under WinXP
Mp_s3.exe (WinME):Patch old SiS 961 FERR bug
Openhci.sys (Win98):Provided by Microsoft to update Win98 USB OHCI
4. Execute ata133.exe for IDE to let IDE support UDMA 133 (XP) and 48bit Capacity of
HD.It also set IDE device to run UDMA as possible.
5. SisAGP utility setting AGP transfer rate only used in SIS AGP new driver.

Setup Driver/Application at first time:
---------------------------------------
Step 1. Before installing the Realtek AC'97 Drivers & Applications, Press the
[Cancel] button if Windows detect the PCI Multimedia Audio device.
Step 2. Insert the "Realtek AC'97 Drivers & Applications" CD into the CD-ROM
drive and run the setup.exe program to finish the installation.
Step 3. Click on [Next/OK/Go] to continue the procedure. If the Windows popup
"Digital Signature Not Found" message, press [Yes] to continue the
installation.
Step 4. Finally, select to restart the system and press [Finish] to complete
the installation.
The system will reload the drivers and do some adjustments in the INF
file if so required.

Update Driver/Application:

Step 1. Follow Step 2,3,4 described in [Setup at first time] above to complete
the procedure.

Remove Driver/Application:
--------------------------
Step 1. Go to Start\Settings\Control Panel.
Step 2. Select [Add/Remove Programs] icon.
Step 3. Select "Realtek AC'97 Drivers and Applications" and press [Change/Remove]
button.
Step 4. Click on [Next/OK/Go] to finish the uninstallation.
Step 5. At the end of the procedure, select to restart the system and press
[Finish] to complete the uninstallation.

How to use this RTLSetup Utility
---------------------------------
For Windows ME:
1. If the Operating System's New Hardware Wizard prompts you that
"New Hardware Found" for the "PCI Ethernet Controller", you should
click "Next" until "Finish" is clicked and without specifying
location of the driver. You will see the "PCI Ethernet Controller"
in the Device Manager.
2. Then you can install or update the NDIS driver with "setup" or
"setup -s" command:
a) setup: The InstallShield will prompt you the steps to install
or upgrade the driver.
b) setup -s: The InstallShield will complete the installation or
upgrade without prompting you any instruction.
You need to reboot the system immediately after the Install shield
completes the installation/upgrade.
3. Do not click "Cancel" during New Hardware Wizard searches for the
driver.
4. You can remove RTLSetup utility from Add/Remove Program Palette in
Control Panel, the InstallShield will prompt you the steps to remove
the driver. After remove the driver, please restart the system
immediately.
For Windows 2000/XP:
1. If the Operating System's Found New Hardware Wizard prompts you that

1. Driver Installation for Windows 2000/XP
Use this procedure if you use Windows 2000/XP:
1) From the Start menu, select Settings, Control Panel.
2) Double-click Mouse to open Mouse Properties.
3) Select the Hardware tab, and then click Properties.
4) Select the Driver tab, and then click Change.
5) Click Next.
6) Select Display a list of the known drivers for this
device so that I can choose a specific driver, and
then click Next.
7) Click Have Disk.
8) Click Browse.
9) Choose specific directory name that you have copied
driver files.
10) Click Apfiltr.inf, and then click Open.
11) Click OK.
12) Click Alps Pointing-device, and then click Next.
13) Click Next to copy the driver files to your system.
14) Click Finish.
15) Click Close.
16) Click Yes, then restart PC automatically.
