Observations
Fixes
-----
1. Problem: (CQ42399) 10G iSCSI fails when initiator and target MTUs
don't match.
Cause: cnic driver sets the MSS without knowing the actual MSS
option and timestamp option during TCP connection.
Change: Changed driver to set MSS to 0xffff so that firmware can
calculate MSS on its own.
Impact: bnx2x iSCSI.
2. Problem: 1G iSCSI fails when initiator and target MTUs don't
match and timestamp is enabled.
Cause: Firmware was not adjusting for the 12-byte timestamp option
if MSS was reduced by MSS option.
Change Updated firmware to 5.0.0.i
Impact: bnx2 iSCSI.
3. Problem: (CQ42353) Unable to disable TCP timestamp on 10G iSCSI.
Cause: Timestamp was hardcoded to be enabled for 10G.
Change: Update global timestamp option during each TCP connection.
Impact: bnx2x iSCSI.
4. Problem: (CQ42329) bnx2x MC assert during IPv6 login/logout.
Cause: EQ filled with more than 128 L4 kcqes without MSI-X interrupt
for 2 seconds. The driver can only buffer 128 L4 kcqes.
Change: Increased L4 kcqe buffer to 256 entries as a temporary solution.
Need to understand the delayed interrupt issue.

This file contains the description of the NetWare(R) and Broadcom
parameters/keywords accepted by the Broadcom NetXtreme(R) Gigabit and Fast
Ethernet adapter NetWare(R) Server (.LAN) driver.
CheckSum=
This is to enable or disable the transmit & receive checksum off loading feature.
The checksum off loading support is only for TCP/IP packets, for that reason it is
defaulted to OFF.
Choices are:
OFF, ON, TX, RX
Default is OFF.
NODE=
This is a Novell Netware keyword.
This keyword will allow an input ethernet node address to replace the adapter
factory programmed ethernet node address until a subsequent reboot.
Choices are:
NODE=nnnnnnnnnnnn
FRAME=
This is a Novell Netware keyword.
String specifying the frame type.
Choices are:
ETHERNET_II
ETHERNET_802.3
ETHERNET_802.2
ETHERNET_SNAP
Default is usually ETHERNET_802.2
SLOT=
This is a Novell Netware keyword.
System-wide unique Hardware Instance Number (HIN) that corresponds to the
physical PCI bus,device and function of a PCI based system.
For more information read the following link and contact Novell.
http://developer.novell.com/research/sections/netmanage/tips/2000/october/spv.htm
SLOT=n
Poll=
To disable interrupt driven mode in the driver set Poll=1 and the driver will
not use interrupts, but will be polled by the Netware OS. This is a common
feature supported in NW. The poll mode may increase driver performance in
some environments.
Choices are:
Poll=1 (ON)
Poll=0 (OFF) (default).

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BELOW
Due to limitations in Microsoft's operating systems not supporting the Virtual Bus Device architecture of the NetXtreme II 10 Gigabit adapter under certain circumstances, separate drivers were created to address these limitations. The NetXtreme II monolithic "RIS" driver allows the adapter to behave similarly to standard network adapters and only provides network connectivity without the advanced offerings of the device. The monolithic driver should be used for connectivity during the text mode portion of a RIS installation (by placing in the I386 or AMD64 platform directory), in a Windows Preinstallation Environment (Windows PE), and for the agent used for Microsoft's Automated Deployment Services (ADS).
