Observations
Keywords for the B440x 32-BIT Netware Server ODI driver.
TxDescriptors=
This is to initialize Descriptor resources on the adapter for transmits.
Min = 100
Max = 512
Default = 200
RxBuffers=
This is to pre-allocate receive ECBs & Receive adapter resources. This setting
may be affected by the Netware server maximum/minimum packet receive buffer settings.
Min = 32
Max = 512
Default = 200
Speed=
This keyword is to force the line speed of the adapter.
When this keyword is used, the switch to which the adapter cable is connected
must also be forced to the same speed. If not, the adapter and switch may run at
different duplex modes. It is important to have the switch and adapter set properly.
The best way to ensure good connectivity is to not set the speed keyword and
allow for automatic link setup (auto-negotiation).
Choices are :
AUTO, 10FD,10HD, 100FD, 100HD,
Default is Auto.
Link=
This keyword is used to allow for autonegotiation using the Speed keyword as the
advertised speed. When set to FORCE, the Speed keyword is forced. When the Speed
keyword is AUTO, normal autonegotiation takes place.
It is best to allow for autonegotiation between the card and switch, by not setting
this keyword or the Speed keyword.
Choices are:
AUTO, FORCE
Default is FORCE.
TxFlow=
This keyword allows enabling/disabling of TxFlow control.
Choices are:
ON, OFF
Default is OFF.
RxFlow=
This keyword allows enabling/disabling of RxFlow control.
Choices are:
ON, OFF
Default value is OFF.
PDriver=
Allows for the driver to operate in persistent driver mode.
Only use if adapter is placed in a Hot Plug PCI slot and only if
required to swap with an exact same board.
Choices are:
OFF, ON
Default value is OFF.

Observations
FreeDOS aims to be a complete, free, 100% MS-DOS compatible operating system.
FreeDOS is ideal for anyone who wants to bundle a version of DOS without
having to pay a royalty for use of DOS. FreeDOS will also work on old
hardware,in DOS emulators, and in embedded systems. FreeDOS is also an
invaluable resource for people who would like to develop their own operating
system. While there are many free operating systems out there, no other free
DOS-compatible operating system exists.
FreeDOS is free because it is released under the GNU General Public License.
The GNU license, created by the Free Software Foundation, is the same one
used by GNU Emacs and Linux. This means you have access to the source code
for all FreeDOS programs; check out the software list for a list of where to
download the original code, or go to the files archive to download our local
copies. FreeDOS is distributed in the hopes it will be useful.
At this time, it is not planned to add advanced features to FreeDOS such as
multitasking, although we may add extensions to DOS commands by way of command
line options or extra functionality. The reason for this is that we first seek
to duplicate and enhance the original functionality of DOS, because such an
operating system is still useful.
