Overview

SiS VGA software package consists of VGA drivers, utilities and Installation/Uninstallation programs for Windows 98/Me/2000/XP.
The installation/uninstallation programs are capable of installing/uninstalling VGA drivers and utilities respectively.
ur utilities consist of utility manager, driver mode setting utility, gamma correction utility, video setting utility,
TV output setting utility, center screen for TV, product and file information utility, utility tray, and hotkey define utility.
Objective
----------------------------------------
The objective of this document is to introduce all utilities in our VGA package applications for Windows 98/Me/2000/XP briefly and
give users a common view upon our VGA utilities.
Utility Introduction
----------------------------------------
(1) Utility manager:
It acts as an entrance for users to enter all SiS utilities. Users can move the mouse upon an animation utility button shown in
utility manager and press it to invoke the specified utility dialog.

(2) Driver mode setting:
It provides users to change display state, including driver mode, output device and resolution.

(3) Gamma correction:
It provides users to adjust the screen color TINT, the tint range from blue to red, according the preference of the users.

(4) Video setting:
It provides users to adjust the hue, saturation, contrast, and brightness of video display.

(5) TV output setting:
It provides users to adjust the TV screen position and TV filter.

(6) Center screen for TV:
It provides users to adjust display boundary on TV system.

(7) Product and file information:
It is aimed to list out the product information and the related files information included in the VGA package.

(8) Hotkey define:
It provides friendly ways for users to define hotkeys associated with specified functions of "OSD" or "3D Stereo".
Installation
----
(1) Generic install
Go to the software package directory, double click "setup.exe" icon.

(2) Silence install
Need under the DOS prompt, change directory to the software package path.
Type "setup -s"

(3) INF install
for example: XP-SP2
Go to "Control Panel -> Display", select "Setting -> Advanced -> Adapter -> Properties", select "Driver -> Update",
and point to INF's location.

Install and Uninstall Foxconn 761MX AGP Driver.

The SiS AGP driver is installed for AGP bus used by VGA Card.It offer efficient
functions for VGA driver.With installation of AGP driver,it provide high
performance and good compatibility for different hardware.
This package include four parts.
1. Windows XP/Windows 2000/Windows 2003 AGP filter driver: Which can support AGP 8x chipset if chipset and VGA card support.
2. Windows Me/Win98 AGP miniport driver:Which can support AGP 8x chipset if chipset and VGA card support.
3. Some Windows patches:
SIS_LIB.DLL,SISPORT.SYS (winxp) : they are used for reading PCI port.
SiSUSBrg.exe (winxp): Add registry for USB bug under Windows XP
Mp_s3.exe (Windows Me):Patch old SiS 961 FERR bug
Openhci.sys (Win98):Provided by Microsoft to update Win98 USB OHCI
4. Execute ata133.exe for IDE to let IDE support UDMA 133 (XP) and 48bit Capacity of
HD.It also set IDE device to run UDMA as possible.

1) System Requirements

* This package should be installed on the AGP chipset,and others'
chipset will not be supported.

* The SiS AGP Driver supports the following Operation System.

Driver Installation for Foxconn 761MX
*************************
Click the SETUP.EXE program and select "Install" button then it will
install the SiS AGP Driver automatically on your Windows system. It
will copy the driver to the \WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS and set the related
registry tree.

Driver Foxconn 761MX Uninstallation
***************************
You could remove the SiS AGP Driver by selecting the "Uninstall"
button. It will completely remove the driver from the sytsem.

3) Package Version Identify

The setup program will display the released data and version for this package.

4) Silent Install Driver

Run "setup -s" for Windows XP/WIN2k/98/Me/2003.

5) Verifying Installation of the Driver
For Windows 2000/XP/98/Me/2003:
1. Open "Control Panel".
2. Select "Device Manager" from "Control Panel".
3. Select "System devices" from "Device Manager".
4. Check if the "SiS Accelerated Graphics Port" exist or not.
5. If it is then your installation is successful.
