Fixed Issue
- Problem : F6 Install of Windows XP 32/64 storage driver on MCP68 with AHCI mode results in a non-WHQL warning message dispalayed
- Root cause : There was a cat file mismatch between the txtsetup.oem and the inf file.
Known Issue
- (Storage)Systems Hangs during shutdown if boot array is in degraded state. The shutdown logo spins for a little while and then the system hangs at splash screen.
There is no BSOD. If you Re-init system it will come up normally without risk of data loss. Only shutdown is affected.
This problem has been root caused and will be corrected in the next release
- (Installer) On uninstalling the Network driver the N/W device disappears in the device manager. The network device comes back normally
on reinstallation of the driver with the S/W package.

Setup Driver at first time in Foxconn 560A
----------------------------------------
Step 1. Before installing the Realtek HD Audio Drivers, Press the
[Cancel] button if Windows detect the Multimedia Audio device.
Step 2. Insert the "Realtek HD Audio Drivers" CD into the CD-ROM
drive and run the setup.exe program to finish the installation.
Step 3. Click on [Next/OK/Go] to continue the procedure. If the Windows popup
"Digital Signature Not Found" message, press [Yes] to continue the
installation.
Step 4. Finally, select to restart the system and press [Finish] to complete
the installation.
The system will reload the drivers and do some adjustments in the INF
file if so required.

the procedure.

Step 3. Select "Realtek HD Audio Drivers" and press [Change/Remove]

Step 4. Click on [Next/OK/Go] to finish the uninstallation.
Step 5. At the end of the procedure, select to restart the system and press
[Finish] to complete the uninstallation for 560A Audio Driver.

Q. What is 'Auto Disable Gigabit' ? Why have this feature ? Who requires to use this feature ?
A. This feature is for power consumption.
When users change the setting to 'Re-Link' and user unplugs and plugs network cable again,
the driver will automatically disable gigabit capability.
Gigabit has much higher power consumption than 10/100 MBps.
For notebook users, it is recommended to turn on this to reduce power consumption.
PS :
This option MUST change to 'Re-Link' to enable 'Auto Disable Phy"

- Automatic driver installer could not roll back to inbox driver
Users may want run the automatic driver installer to remove the driver
but the driver does not roll-back to inbox driver successfully.
For users would like to use inbox, please accords the following procedure.
a. Use automatic driver installer to remove the program first.
b. WIN + R and 'devmgmt.msc' to invoke 'Device Manager'
c. double click the corresponding network adapter
d. choose 'driver' property page
e. click 'update driver.'
f. click 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.'
g. choose one of 'Realtek . (Microsoft)'
h. roll back to inbox driver now
PS. The automatic installer roll back to inbox driver after installer removed.
PS. DO NOT USE 'Uninstall' from device manager. Please use update driver instead

================ 8169 CARDBUS 10/100/1000 NETWORK ADAPTER =============
TCP/IP protocol not works issue on Realtek 8169 cardbus network adapter
Q. Realtek inbox driver for Windows Vista RC1 has software compatibility issue when TCP/IP protcol driver
tries to bind the LAN miniport driver.
If the card plugs to slot first and then connects the network cable, the card is not appeared and TCP/IP does not work.
'ipconfig /all' does not show the adapter, too. Device manager could show the adapter.
A. How to use TCP/IP when use 8169 cardbus adapter ?
1. Connect the network cable to adapter first
2. and then plug it into cardbus slot.
3. The TCP/IP protocol could successfully bind to the LAN driver now and the network works.
4. You can use 'ipconfig /all' to check the IP address.
