Driver for Windows 2000 - Installation Procedure This installation procedure refers to the english version 5.00.2195 of Windows2000 Professional. ---------------------- PCMCIA MODEMS ------------------------ BEFORE INSTALLING THE DRIVERS... Before you install the driver downloaded from digicom web site, you must remove the MDMMOD.INF and MDMMOD.PNF files installed by Windows2000. The procedure is the following: Select Start -> Search -> For Files or Folders... In the field "Search for files or folders named" insert: mdmmod.* Press "Search Now" The search will find the files "MDMMOD.INF" and "MDMMOD.PNF" in the folder C:\WINNT\inf Remove the two files into another folder for future backup. At this point, copy the driver you download from digicom web site into the folder C:\WINNT\inf Once this procedure is over, insert the modem into the PCMCIA slot and go on with the drivers installation. ----------------------------------------

Download the driver from digicom web site, then select:

1) Start -> Control Panel

2) Run "Phone and Modem Options". In the "Modems" folder press "Add..."

3) Select "Don't detect my modem; I will select it from a list" and press "Next>"

4) Do not select any "Manufacturers" and "Models" but press "Have Disk..."

5) With "Browse..." select the folder where you copied the driver you downloaded from
digicom web site and confirm with "OK"

6) Choose the modem to be installed and press "Next>"

7) Select the communication Port and press "Next>"

8) Click "Continue Anyway" in the informative window.

9) Click "Finish" to end the installation.
