Observations

Installation of the Creatix ISDN S0 PCI-Card under Windows 2000
1. Unzip the driver in a temporary directory.
2. De-install the old driver or rather delete the entry for the PCI-Card (“PCI Network
Controller”) at the device manager (start – settings – control panel – system –
hardware – device manager) under Other components after a new installation of
the operating system.
3. Reboot you PC.
4. The following message appears: “Network Controller found.”
5. The “assistant for searching new hardware” will start. Confirm with “Next”.
6. Message: “The assistant will finish the installation for the device: “Network
controller”.
What would you like to do?
Choose the button: “Searching for the best driver for the device (recommended)”
and confirm with “Next”.
7. Choose at the next window under “search for other sources” the point “declare
other sources” and confirm with “Next”.
8. “Copy the manufacturer files from:” Here you have to declare the directory in
which you unzipped the driver at the beginning or search with the option search.
Confirm with “Next”.
9. The assistant found the following driver for the new device: “……:\isdndrv.inf”.
For the installation please press the button “Next”.
10. Confirm the next message “Digital signature not found” with “Yes”. The
necessary files will be copied.
11. The next message affects the software:
“The necessary software for the hardware components will be installed …”
12. The following Message appears:
“Digital signature not found”, this time for “Creatix NDIS WAN Miniport adapter”,
confirm the message with “Yes”.
13. Now confirm the following message with “Finish”, to finish the installation.
14. At the device manager you will find the entry under:
“Creatix ISDN-S0/PCI”.

Restart your PC .
Message: “New Hardware found: ISDN PCI Network Controller . . . Installation” ? NEXT
“: ISDN PCI Network Controller” found . . . what do you want to do?”
“Search the best driver for your device (recommended)” and click on “NEXT”. Then activate the
paragraph “Indicate position”. At this point you have to indicate either the directory, where you
have extracted the driver or search the position with the option “search”. Important is, that you
have given the complete path. Confirm this window with “Next”.
The software for this hardware will be installed: ISDN PCI card ?“Next”.
Files will be copied. Have the MS Windows 98 CD available. If there is a version conflict follow
the recommendation from MS Windows 98
Now confirm the following message with “Finish”, to finish the installation.
After the restart of the PC you will find the entry “Creatix ISDN-S0/PCI” at the device manager.
For uninstalling the ISDN PCI card use the program in the ISDN Utilities – Uninstall DRV&UTL

Extract the driver into a temporary directory (file or disc).
Reboot your PC.

CREATIX ISDN S0 PCI
Message: “did not pass the Windows Logo test, which verifies the compatibility with Windows XP”.
Continue the installation.
The software for this hardware will be installed.
CREATIX NDIS WAN Miniport-Adapter.
Message: “did not pass the Windows Logo test, which verifies the compatibility with Windows XP”.
Continue the installation.
Finish the assistant.
Software for the following hardware has been installed. Creatix ISDN S0 PCI.
“Finish”.
The drivers can be de-installed with the ISDN Utilities.

Installation Guide for Windows 2000 RC1, RC2, RC3 and RTM (released-to-manufacturing)
There are two parts in this text file:
1. How to install the drivers?
2. How to uninstall the drivers?
1. How to install the CAPI and miniport drivers?

(1) Power off the PC
(2) Plug in ISDN PCI card
(3) Power on the PC and start Windows 2000
(4) When Windows detects the ISDN PCI card, specify the INF file in
the driver installation diskette/CD to install the deivce.

Note: You don't have to restart your computer to use CAPI and miniport
services.

If you are using RC1 or RC2, you have to "manually" update the miniport
driver as below:
(5) Go to "Device Manager" (throught Control Panel/System Property or
Administrative Tools\Computer Management) and, in "Network adapters",
you should find an "Unknown device".
(6) Double click the "Unknown device" and switch to "Driver" tab.
(7) Press "Update Driver" and "Next" twice.
(8) Specify "INF" subdirectory in the Windows directory (default is
"WinNT") to complete the driver update.
(9) After that, you should see the "NDIS WAN Miniport Adapter" listed
in Device Manager.
2. How to uninstall the drivers?

Just run "uninstal.exe" or "Uninstall DRV & UTL" in "ISDN Utility" folder
to completely remove all the related files and registry.
