Polling the Firmware Version of the Creatix V.90 with the ATI99-Command
A direct communication between you and your modem is available with an communication program. This
program exist in the delivered Cheyenne Bitware Software under the name BITCOM respectively under
Windows at < Start Programs Accessories Communications Hyper Terminal >.
If the Hyper Terminal is not installed, the program can be installed under < Start Settings Control
Panel Add/Remove Program Windows Setup Communications. Therefor you need the Windows CD.
If you use Hyper Terminal, start the < Hyperterm.exe > (it depends on the operating system / ME the
window appears direct). Put in the first window the name of the connection, for example Test. In the
following window choose for connect using the direct to COM x (COM x is the interface on which the
modem is connected). In the next window change the Baudrate from 2400 bps to 115000 bps. Thats all.

Installation of Creatix V90 external under Windows 2000 / XP
1. Switch on your modem and then the PC.
2. After starting the operating system the PC recognizes the new hardware and
starts the hardware wizard.
3. Choose "Install the software from a list or a special source (for advanced
users)" and continue with "Next".
4. Search this source for the correct driver. Activate "search also the following
source" and indicate the directory, where you have extracted the driver or
search the position with the option "search". Important is, that you have given
the complete path. Confirm this window with "Next".
5. There is a message that the driver is not certified (no digital signification).
Continue the installation (do not abort or click only on return!)
6. Complete the installation with finishing the hardware wizard.
7. Now the modem should be available under Control Panel phone and modem
options modems.
Un-Installation
1. Delete the modem entry under Control panel phone and modem options
modems.
2. Control all oem*.inf files in the hidden directory \Windows\Inf. You can open
the files with double click and they are readable. Delete the oem*.inf file which
describes the modem.
3. Now the modem driver is uninstalled.
