2.1. Installation under Windows 98:
If the Microsoft Dial-Up-Networking was not installed at any time on
your Windows 98 system it will be installed automatically during the
installation of the PCI ISDN Card.
If you had installed the Microsoft Dial-Up-Networking any time before on
your Windows 98 system but it isn't installed anymore please use the
Add/Remove programs control panel to install the Dial-Up-Networking.
2.2. Driver under Windows 98 Second Edition:
Windows 98 Second Edition Problems with NDIS Intermediate Drivers
SYMPTOMS
========
On a computer that is running Windows 98 Second Edition and using
networking software that is implemented as a Network Driver Interface
Specification (NDIS) intermediate driver, one of the following symptoms
may occur:
The computer may stop responding (hang) while starting up or shutting down.
Your network throughput and overall network performance may gradually
decrease, sometimes to the point that the computer hangs or becomes
completely unresponsive to network requests.
CAUSE
=====
This problem can occur if the NDIS intermediate driver code is preempted
by the operating system when it is not safe to do so. As a result, a
"race" or "deadlock" condition may occur, causing the operating system to
hang.
RESOLUTION
==========
A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft,
but it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to
systems experiencing this specific problem.

2. PCI ISDN Card adapter
2.1 Installing PCI ISDN Card hardware
Install the PCI ISDN Card as described in the manual. Configure
the port of the PCI ISDN adapter on a free interrupt (see manual
of PCI ISDN Card).
2.1.1 Updating from previous version
Please deinstall the PCI ISDN Card from RAS and from the
list of network adaptors and install it with the new version
again. While installing make sure that you choose the
installation from the floppy and not from harddisk.
2.2 Installing COLWMAC
Install RAS and your LAN protocols before you install the
PCI ISDN Card NDIS driver. Choose a port like COM2 for RAS
installation.
The driver is to be installed with the "Control Panel". Start
"Network" and "Add Adapter...". Now you get a list of the
available adaptors. Select "Diskette" to force the
system to load the files from the floppy onto the harddisk.
Select "PCI ISDN Card".
Select the D-channel protocol you will use.
Please enter the telephone numbers (phone 1 and phone 2) you will
use. If you have only one telephone number you may leave the
second phone number blank.
