Installing Your Software
1. Make sure your BriteCam is NOT connected to your computer.
2. Insert the Installation CD into your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive. Your CD
should start automatically. If it does not, follow the steps below:
i. Start Windows Explorer.
ii. On the left pane, click the My Computer icon.
iii. Right-click the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive icon, and then click
AutoPlay.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
4. When prompted, restart your computer to complete the installation.
An online registration screen appears. Follow the instructions on the
screen to register your BriteCam online.

Basic Functions
To view and configure your BriteCam with Microsoft Internet Explorer
If your Web browser does not support ActiveX components, you can view your
BriteCam with BriteCam Center (see "To view your BriteCam with BriteCam
Center" below).
1. Launch Microsoft Internet Explorer. In the Address box, type your
BriteCam's registered domain name.
2. In the Login screen that appears, type in your username and password
and click the Login button.
The configuration screen appears.
3. On the task bar, click View.
Your BriteCam video appears.
To configure your BriteCam's settings, refer to instructions on the left
pane of the configuration screen.
To view your BriteCam with BriteCam Center
1. Double-click the BriteCam Center icon on your computer desktop and
click the View button.
2. Click the Domain Name option and type in your BriteCam’s registered
domain name.
3. Click the Connect button.
Your BriteCam video appears.
5. In the Login screen that appears (Figure 4),
type admin in the User Name and
Password fields.
6. Click the Login button and start
configuring your BriteCam.
Refer to instructions on the left pane of the
configuration screen to configure Motion
Detection, Scheduler and other settings.
If you have registered a personalized
domain name for your BriteCam (see "Step 2 Registering a Domain
Name"), make sure your BriteCam's DDNS settings are configured before
proceeding.
i. Click Advanced ? DDNS on the menu bar, and type the domain name
that you have registered at http://ddns.broadxent.com.cn.
ii. Click the OK button.
7. Click Save on the menu bar to complete configuration.
If you want to configure your BriteCam with your computer
or you are a non-LAN user
i. After configuring your BriteCam's settings, disconnect the
cross cable from your computer and BriteCam.
ii. Connect the supplied straight cable to your computer's
Ethernet port, and an available Network or Ethernet port on
your LAN/switch/router/Ethernet modem.
iii. After you have established an Internet connection,
disconnect the straight cable from your computer and
connect it to your BriteCam's LAN port.
Your BriteCam is a standalone system with a built-in server. After
initial configuration, it functions independently

This is the BriteCam Center application found on the Creative BriteCam IP Camera Installation CD.
It has been reported by some of our customers that they have been unable to view video streams from their BriteCam IP Camera using their web browsers. Our product development team has researched these reports and have found that the network firewalls of some Internet Service Providers block TCP/IP port 80, the port that BriteCam uses to communicate with web browsers.
If you face a similar issue, the current solution is to view video streams from your BriteCam using BriteCam Center. To find out how to do this, see the Note below.

Note
To install BriteCam Center, do the following:
Download the BCAM_PCAPP_US_1_0_5_180205.EXE file to your local hard disk.
Double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen to complete installation.
To view video streams from your BriteCam using BriteCam Center, do the following:
Double-click the BriteCam Center icon on your computer desktop.
Click the View button.
Click the Domain Name option and type in your BriteCam's registered domain name. Alternatively, type in the IP address of your BriteCam.
Click the Connect button. Your BriteCam's video stream appears.
