Observations
Installing 5in1 drivers using CD-ROM:
(1) Insert the 5in1 into an available PCMCIA (Type II or III) slot. Windows 2000 will detect the 5in1 and pop up a "Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box. Click on "Next>" to let the wizard search for the drivers.
(2) Select "Search for the best driver for your device(Recommended)", click on "Next>" again. Choose "CD-ROM drives" as the option for installation and click "Next>".
(3) When prompted to insert installation disks, insert the 5in1 Installation CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive; then click on "Next" to continue. The Wizard will read the installation information files on the CD-ROM and display a dialog box showing that it has found the driver for the device.
(4) Click on "Next>", the Wizard will copy some files. The dialog box "Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard" will appear. Click "Finish" and Windows 2000 will start to add the following Multifunction devices that it has found:
- WAVEXA XP-BUS Controller
- 5in1 XP-LAN Ethernet Adapter
- 5in1 XP-ISDN Adapter
(5) If the dialog boxes "Digital Signature Not Found" appear, click "Yes" to continue the installation.
(6) The First half of the installation has been completed.
(7) The Second half of the installation can be launched by clicking on the "Start" button and then run. Enter "d:\Win2k\setup" (assuming that d: is your CD-ROM drive) as the program to open. Click on "Ok" to continue.
(8) WAVEXA Setup will install 5in1 56K Modem and 5in1 GSM Modem. If the dialog boxes "Digital Signature Not Found" appear, click "Yes" to continue the installation.
(9) Once the "Installation Completed" dialog appears, it indicates that the second half of installation has ended and a reboot of the system is needed.
(10) Click on "Finish" to reboot Windows. You will have to configure your 5in1 XP-LAN Adapter before accessing the network. For further details of your network configuration, please consult your system administrator.

Installing 5in1 Base Software drivers using CD-ROM:
(1) Insert the 5in1 into an available PCMCIA (Type II or III) slot. Windows will detect the 5in1 and pop up a dialog box. Click on "Next" to let the wizard search for the new drivers.
(2) Select "Search for the best driver for your device. (Recommended)" Choose CD-ROM drive as the option for installation.
(3) Insert the 5in1 Installation CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive; then click on "Next" to continue. Windows will read the installation information file and display a dialog box showing that Windows is ready to install the best driver.
(4) Click on "Next" and "Finish". Windows will process the 5in1 base installation information files and begin to create the device entries for WAXEXA XP-BUS Controller; 5in1 XP-LAN and 5in1 ExtremeSURFER 56K modem.
(5) If it is a Windows 98 system, a dialog box will prompt at this moment to ask for reboot of the system, click on "No" to allow the installation to continue.
(6) Part one of the installation is complete. Remove your Installation CD-ROM.
(7) Next WAVEXA drivers will detect and launch the 5in1 Installshield setup automatically. Click on "Next" to continue.
(8) Under the "Select Components" dialog box, choose the options you want to install. By default, all the options are selected. This Installation process is to facilitate pre-installation of upgrade option drivers. Click on "Next" to continue.
(9) Please have your Windows 95/98 CD-ROM ready when Dial-up Adapter and TCP/IP protocols are added automatically.
(10) Setup will copy files from your Windows 95/98 CD-ROM into your system.
(11) Click on "Finish" to restart Windows. You will have to configure your 5in1 XP-LAN Adapter before accessing the network.

Observations
Installing 5in1 Base Software drivers using CD-ROM:
(1) Insert the 5in1 into an available PCMCIA (Type II or III) slot. Next, insert the Install CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Click on the "Start" button and run d:\Winnt40\setup (use the drive letter for your CD-ROM drive in place of d:\)
(2) Click on "OK" and the "Welcome" screen appears, proceed to click on "Next" to continue.
(3) The setup will continue until it has finished the copying of all the necessary files. You will be shown the "Setup Complete" screen.
Installing 5in1 XP-LAN Adapter
(4) Next, go to "Control Panel" and click on "Network" to invoke Network Configuration. Select the "Adapters" tab. Click on the "Add" button to add the XP-LAN adapter. Upon doing so, the "Select Network Adapter" screen appears.
(5) Click on the "Have Disk..." button, the "Insert Disk" dialog box appears. Type in d:\Winnt40\LAN to specify the location of the XP-LAN installation files Select "OK" and the "Select OEM Option" box pops up.
(6) Choose the "5in1 XP-LAN Adapter" and click on "OK" to finish. The "XP-LAN Ethernet Adapter" will be added.
Installing 5in1 XP-ISDN Adapter
(7) In the "Network" window, click on the "Add" button again to add the XP-ISDN adapter.
(8) Click on the "Have Disk..." button, the "Insert Disk" dialog box should appear. Type in d:\Winnt40\ISDN to specify the location of the ISDN installation files. Select "OK" and the "Select OEM Option" box pops up.
(9) Choose the "5in1 XP-ISDN Adapter" and click on "OK" to finish. The XP-ISDN Adapter will be added.
(10) At this moment, a dialog will prompt you to invoke RAS. Go to the "Services" Tab, double click "Remote Access Service" and add "ISDN1" and "ISDN2" ports now.
