Observations
If you experience problems with the deadzone of your brake and you want to increase or reduce it you can flash the firmware of your pedals with this updater. The updater only works on Windows XP 32 or Vista 32 but the pedals will work on all platForms afterwards. PW UPDATE UTILITY INSTRUCTIONS
[english]
The update program is only tested on Windows XP32 and Vista 32. The proper functionality cannot be guaranteed on other systems.
De-activate any anti virus programs
Unpack the file CSP update.zip into an empty folder on your desktop
Make sure the pedal is connected to the PC by the USB cable
Double click on the file PW_Update.exe
Click on "Step 1: Start bootloader"
Windows will try to install drivers for the boot loader which loads the new firmware into the dongle.
Do NOT let Windows look for the driver automatically or online. Instead select the folder "USB Driver" of your unpacked files.
Confirm all warning messages that you want to install the driver
After the bootloader has been installed correctly close PW_UPDATE utility and open it again (this is necessary on Vista)
Press "Step 2: Update PW Firmware"
Select one of the following files
csp_usb_1vXX-DZx.dld
DZ stands for Dead Zone. The larger the value the larger the dead zone.
If the PW UPDATE UTILITY shows "no device detected" then the firmware patch was succesful

Instructions for installing & configuring the Porsche Wheel plugin for rFactor.txt
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last Revised: 01.11.2009
IMPORTANT! The PorsheWheel plugin for rFactor isn't backward compatible. So make sure to use only the latest plugin dll.
Plugin Dll Last Compiled: 01.11.2009
A. INSTALLATION
To install, move this file (PorscheWheelPlugin.dll) into rFactor's Plugins\ folder.
Then configure rFactor's telemetry using the Porsche Wheel property sheet's Telemetry Data tab.
B. CONFIGURATION
The Telemetry Data tab of the Fanatec Porsche Wheel Property Sheet allows you to specify how the game should control your wheel using the real-time telemetry data.
The first selection box lists the games that the wheel currently supports. For a game to control your wheel, the game application itself, AND the Porsche Wheel plugin dll must be installed. Hence, a game item in the selection box is marked "unavailable" when one of these conditions is detected:
1) The game is not installed, or
2) The game is installed, yet the plugin dll isn't.
NOTE: A pop-up dialog box appears pin-pointing the exact scenario should an "unavailable" game is selected from the list. Currently, only rFactor is supported.
In case the game's installation couldn't be verified automatically (i.e. marking the game as "unavailable"), you should manually specify its installation path. On the right side of the selection box is a manual-search button that allows you to do just that. This button, therefore, is disabled for games that the property sheet could properly detect.
Other important markings:
1. The game's install path, if any (either via automatic or manual search), is shown in square brackets.
2. An asterisk mark(*) appears besides the manually-specified path, to differentiate it from auto-searched path.
3. For manual-searched game, the manual-search button is always enabled. This is to allow you to change the path anytime when needed.
The last 3 selection boxes:
a) LED/Display mode - use this to specify what telemetry data to show on wheel's LED.
b) Wheel vibration mode - use this to specifiy what telemetry data to trigger vibration of the wheel.
c) Brake vibration modes - use this to specify what telemetry data to trigger vibration of the brake pedal. (NOTE: This is only available for Clubsport Pedals attached directly to a PWGT3RS wheel)
