Important Information for the ICP HAM Drivers
=============================================
Supported ICP controllers and NetWare versions
----------------------------------------------
Since HAM driver version 2.02 all ICP controllers of the RP-, RD-, RS-, RN-
and RZ series are supported. The HAM drivers are available for all NetWare
versions with NWPA support.
Installation instructions
-------------------------
- are available in the specific directories as readme.txt files
- copy all files and directories of the HAM directory to a floppy disk and
use this disk for the installation of NetWare
- NOTE: when replacing a DSK driver with the HAM interface ALL DSK drivers
have to be changed to HAM drivers!
- the ICP tools can be installed automatically with a Novell installation
routine (INSTALL., after installation they can be manually started (e.g. load icpcon)

Creating a Driver Disk
======================
To create a driver disk from an image file simply start IWRITE,
with the name of the floppy drive that should be used and the
name of the image.
e.g. IWRITE A: UnixW7
creates the ICP Unixware 7 Driver Disk in floppy drive A:
A pre-formatted 1.44 MB floppy disk can be used as well as an unformatted one.
Please note that all data on the destination disk will be deleted.
IWRITE can be used under MS-DOS, Windows NT, Windows 95 and OS/2.
IWrite32 can be used under Windows NT / 2000 / XP.
If there are problems formatting or creating the floppy disk (e.g. under
Windows 95), please use a pre-formatted floppy disk and force IWRITE not
to format the media by setting the parameter '/F' ("IWRITE A: UnixW7 /F").
To check the contents of an image file simply use 'type' on the file.
e.g. "type UnixW7.IMG"

Plug-In for the Intel Landesk Server Manager v6.0
ICP Controller Snap-In for Intel(R) LANDesk(R) Server Manager
=============================================================
1 Overview
----------
The ICP Controller Snap-Ins provide
* Integrating SNMP traps in LANDesk(R) Server Manager (LDSM). The traps
can be handled by Intel's AMSē (Alert Management System, Version 2).
For each trap separate actions can be configured, such as sending
E-Mails, Pager-Messages, Faxes, lauching applications,
shut down servers...
* Launching ICP RAID Navigator from the Server Management Console
for accessing the server's ICP RAID Controller(s).
2 Platform
----------
The ICP Controller Snap-In run on NT 4.0.
3 Installation
--------------
See file "install.txt" for installation instructions.
4 Configuring SNMP Alerts
-------------------------
After installation of ICP Controller Snap-Ins start the Management Console.
Each ICP Controller SNMP trap appears in the "SNMP Transport /
SNMP Trap Receiver / ICP RAID Controller" subtree of the Intel Management
Directory.
You can now configure a specific action on each different SNMP trap by
clicking on the trap name in the Management directory. In the "Configure
Alert Actions" window, you can invoke an alert configuration wizard by
double clicking on trap name.
For example, click on the "Array drive: Cache-drive failed" trap name in
the "ICP RAID Controller" subtree of the Management Directory. In the
"Configure Alert Actions" window, you can see an open folder named
"ICP RAID Controller" in which two items appear: "Default alert" and
"ICP RAID Controller: Array drive: Cache-drive failed".
Now double click on "ICP RAID Controller: Array drive: Cache-drive failed",
select an action and proceed with the configuration.
For detailled help, look at the "Configuring AMSē alert actions" chapter
in the Server Console's help file.
--- IMPORTANT NOTE: ---
a. You must configure your Server to send SNMP traps to the Management
Console's machine! A Windows(R) NT Server must have installed and
started the "SNMP Service".
In the "Services" page of the "Network" dialog box (from the Control
Panel), you can take a view on the properties of the SNMP service
by selecting "SNMP service" and pressing the "Properties..." button.
On the "traps" page you can determine trap destinations. One of the
destinations MUST be the Management Console's machine.
Furthermore, ICPSNMP (from the ICPTools package) must have been
installed on the server!
