CDRom driver files are not needed for Windows 9x or NT 1. Installation of Device Driver
(1) The device driver in this diskette is only for MS-DOS mode. Windows95/98 automatically detect and install the DVD-ROM drive.
(2) Installation
1) Change prompt to the 3.5" floppy disk.
ex) C:\>a: A:\>_
2) Excute Install.exe file
ex) A:\>install
3) Type 'y' when your system asks as 'Install Device Driver Now?'
ex) Install Device Driver Now?[Y/N] Y
4) After the above, the install program makes a directory(DVS) and copy Device Driver and MSCDEX.EXE files. After copying the files, prompt changes as below.
ex) C:\DVS>
2. Confirmation of Device Driver Installation
(1) All of the above installation is done, please check whether the two files (DVS.SYS and MSCDEX.EXE) are in the 'DVS' directory or not.
(2) Next, you need to check environment files as followings.
1) CONFIG.SYS The installation program automatically makes a line, as below, in the CONFIG.SYS file. If your system has another device driver for CD-ROM, installation program automatically make it remark.
ex) DEVICE = C:\DVS\DVS.SYS /D:DVSDVD01
2) AUTOEXEC.BAT The installation program automatically makes a line, as below, in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. If your system has another device driver for CD-ROM, installation program automatically make it remark.
ex) LH MSCDEX /D:DVSDVD01
(3) In case of improper installation by any reason, you can manually change CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files.
