Introduction
This network/IP camera is the perfect solution for monitoring all kinds of rooms, like a reception hall or
warehouse. The camera is also a perfect solution for a baby room or living room. From anywhere in the
world at any time, you can monitor the room with any web browser, if you connect the camera to an internetrouter.
• High Resolution (640*480:20fps,320x240:30 fps) built-in MJPEG encoder
• Ethernet RJ-45, 10/100 Base-T auto-sensed
• Remote view through the IE browser just typing IP address
• 6 infrared LEDs provide image in the dark.
• USB 1.1 Interface: Compatible with Microsoft MSN and NetMeeting
• Current view: gives you the possibility to view the camera picture directly on your monitor.
• Image control: gives you the possibility to change the picture preferences.
• Basic settings: gives you the possibility to change the default IP-address of your camera. If you
change the default IP-address to a new IP-address, the new address will be used to access your
camera in the future.
• Wireless settings (only for IPCM02): gives you the possibility to change the name, type and security
method of you wireless camera.
Ad Hoc: Is a direct computer to computer connection and can be used if you want to connect your
camera directly to you computer. For this option your computer also must set to AD Hoc mode.
Infrastructure: Select this option when you have a wireless Access Point (wireless modem or router).
Network Installation procedure
1. Connect the IP camera to your network.
2. Place the installation CD-rom in the CD-rom drive of your computer.
The installation procedure will start automatically.
3. Install the IP Auto Detect Tool (Only for Windows 2000 and XP users).
4. Open the IP detect program from your desktop.
5. Click ‘Auto Detect’.
6. Select the found device (192.168.1.100) en and choose ‘Settings’.
7. You will see the manufactory settings on the right side of the screen.
You can change these settings to your own network settings if you would like.
8. Click the ‘Ok’ button.
9. The installation is ‘Finished’.
USB Installation procedure (optional)
1. Connect the IP camera to a unused USB port on your computer.
2. Move the selection button on your camera to “Computer’.
3. Place the installation CD-rom in the CD-rom drive of your computer.
The installation procure will start automatically.
4. Choose “Install USB Driver”.
5. The installation is ‘Finished’.
Now you can use your IP camera for programs like ‘MSN’ and ‘Netmeeting’.
Camera view / webpage configuration
Note: Do not follow these steps when using the USB connection on your IP camera!
1. Start the Internet Explorer.
2. Click ‘Tools’ and choose ‘Internet Options’.
Select the tab ‘Security’ and enable ActiveX.
3. Type in de address bar: 192.168.1.100 (This is the default IP-address of your camera).
4. Type ‘Username’: root.
5. Type ‘Password’: admin.
6. Select your language. (for example Dutch of English).
7. Now you have entered the webpage of your IP camera.
8. With the function ‘Live Video’ you can view the picture of your IP camera.
9. With the function ‘Settings’ you will enter the configuration menu where you can change all camera
options.

1.1 Introduction
Today, more and more people are aware of their personal, home and office
security and are finding solutions to protect themselves. Our E-Tech
IPCM01/02 Camera provides the ideal solution by operating easily with your
Internet Explorer web browser. The E-Tech IP Camera has a built-in
high-speed image and network processor providing you with a powerful
embedded device with many Internet services such as Email, FTP, DDNS,
PPPoE, NTP, User Manager, and Image Control. The E-Tech IP Camera
includes a high quality CMOS sensor with 6 infrared LEDs that provide
excellent imaging in dark and low light situations.
1.2 Product Features
1. High Resolution Image Processor (640*480:15fps,320x240:30 fps) with
built-in MPEG encoder.
2. Ethernet RJ-45,10/100 Base-T with auto-sensing.
3. Remote view through the IE browser, simply type in the IP address.
4. 6 infrared LEDs provide imaging in the dark.
5. Many Valuable Internet services: Email, FTP, PPPoE, Dynamic DNS,
NTP service, User Management, and Image quality Control.
6. USB 1.1 Interface making it useful as a webcam. Compatible with
Microsoft MSN Messenger and NetMeeting.
1.3 System and network environment
1. LAN: 10Base-T Ethernet or 100Base TX Fast Ethernet.
2. More than one fixed IP address is recommended.
3. A 10/100Base-T switch HUB is required.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or above. Pentium III 1G CPU or above.
3. 64MB RAM or above.
4. VGA card with 8MB Memory or above (800x600 or above).
5. Windows 2000/XP is recommended.
Attention: A fixed IP address is not required to access the camera
from the Internet. However if your IP address is dynamic, you need to
ask your Internet service provider for the Dynamic DNS service.

Hardware Description and Connection
2.1 Hardware description
1. Camera switch: Change between Web Camera (USB) ,IP
Camera and WiFi Camera mode.
2. Connections and Interface: USB 1.1, RJ45 and Power adapter
3. Reset and Default:
• Reset: When you change between PC Cam IP Camera ,Wifi Camera
or set the Camera mode, you must reset (reboot) the system.
• If you forget the IP address or ID Password, you can restore the
original default parameters.
• Default IP address: http://192.168.1.100.
Default User ID: root
Default User Password: admin
4. Connections and Interface: USB 1.1, RJ45 and Power adapter
5. A Ready LED: the IP Camera can be operated in IP or WiFi Camera
mode when the ready LED is on (it takes about 30 ~ 40 seconds before
the ready LED goes on).
6. Six infrared LEDs with night-vision lens
7. The indicator LED:
• Link LED: When IP Camera is connected to the network, this light
will be turned on.
• 10/100 TBase LED: Indicates the network status, as well as
indicating whether the connection is high speed or not.
