This software is LS-QL/R5 Series Firmware UPdate Utility to update unit firmware to Ver.1.11.
If your unit firmware is Ver.1.11 or later version, you do not have to use this utility.
*If the LS-QL/R5 became EM Mode, firmware update might recover the unit.
[How to confirm firmware version]
Select LS-QL/R5 from NasNavigator2 utility search screen.
The firmware version is displayed right and bottom corner in the status screen.
If the unit name shown LS-QL-EM*** in the status screen, the LS-QL/R5 becomes EM (Emergency) mode.

Using your LinkStation with a Windows PC
The LS-QLxxx shortcut will take directly to the
folders on your LinkStation.
Share is the main folder that you can put files
and folders in. Info contains a copy of your user
manual.
Using your LinkStation with a Windows PC
The Buffalo NAS Navigator icon opens
the LinkStations client utility. This lets
you easily view system information for
your LinkStation(s). If you right-click
on your LinkStations icon and choose
Open Web Admin, it will take you to the
Web Administration Tool, where you may
change your LinkStations settings. Until
you change it, the GUIs username is
admin and the password is password.
Consult your user manual for more
information on the Buffalo NAS Navigator
and the Web Admin Tool.
Using your LinkStation with a Mac
On the desktop, the LS-QLSettings.
txt file contains the IP address of your LinkStation. In the
Finder, NASNavigator is the LinkStations client utility.
Using your LinkStation with a Mac
Clicking NASNavigator
opens the LinkStations
client utility. This lets
you easily view system
information for your
LinkStation and change
its settings. Consult your
user manual for more
information on the Buffalo
NAS Navigator.
With the information in the LSQLSettings.
txt file, you can easily
connect to the LinkStation from any
of your computers on your local
network.
From the Finder, click Go,
and then choose Connect
to Server.
