Hewlett Packard HP Scanjet 5490c Scanner
PrecisionScan Pro 3.13 Custom Settings Update
This software update enables PrecisionScan Pro to automatically load "default" settings at startup, if they exist. Normally, any custom scanner settings must be reloaded whenever PrecisionScan Pro is restarted.
This update is intended to simplify repetitive scanning tasks. If you have to scan certain types of documents over and over, requiring adjustments to the scanner settings each time, this update could save you time.
To take advantage of this new feature, you must first save your desired scanner settings and name it "default" (not case sensitive). Default settings will also be applied when using an automatic document feeder.
Note: Certain preferences in HP PrecisionScan Pro software may override the "preferences" in your default settings. You may have to change some, or all, of the Selection Area preferences in order to get the results you want. You can change the preferences in PrecisionScan Pro by clicking "Scan," "Preferences".
To find out more about Saving Settings and changing the Scan Preferences, refer to the Online User's Guide included with HP PrecisionScan software ("Help," "User's Manual") for more information.
