2. Requirements
2-1. Windows 95
Software: Microsoft Windows 95.
Hardware: PC/AT compatible computer.
A 25 MHz i486SX CPU or faster.

One bidirectional parallel cable.
Printer: Mita MIP-670/PointSource Vi 35.

3. Installation
The printer driver contained in this floppy disk must be
installed in Windows before the printer can be used.
3-1. Windows 95
1) Start Windows and insert the floppy disk containing the driver
into the appropriate drive.
2) Click the Start button, point to Settings and then click
Printers.
3) Double-click Add Printer.
4) Follow the instructions shown on the screen.
5) Set the installed printer as the default printer.
NOTE:
When installing this printer driver, the message 'Select the
installing driver for new hardware.' may be displayed while
communicating with the printer. If this occurs, click the Cancel
button and continue the installation.
3-2. Windows 3.1x
1) Start Windows.
2) Insert the floppy disk containing the driver into the
appropriate drive.
3) From Program Manager, select the File menu and choose Run.
4) Type a:\install and press Enter.

4. Uninstalling the printer
4-1. Windows 95
1) Click the Start button, point to Settings and then click
Printers. Click the Mita MIP-670/PointSource Vi 35 PCL**
icon with the right mouse button and then click Delete.
2) Follow the instructions on the screen.
4-2. Windows 3.1x
1) In the Main program group, double-click on Control Panel.
Double-click on Printers, select the Mita
MIP-670/PointSource Vi 35 PCL** and click the Remove button.

5. Notes
1) Other printer drivers may interfere with printing, affecting
the printout. Remove some or all of the other printer drivers
and start the print job again.
2) When a printer error occurs, delete the current print job,
turn the printer off and on, then start the print job again.
3) Some applications may stop printing partway due to a lack of
hard disk space. If possible, delete unnecessary files and
then start the print job again.
4) Replace the developing unit when printouts become grayish,
which indicates that toner is running out. (The printer does
not indicate the level of remaining toner.)
5) Ensure the paper size selected on the PC matches the paper in
the tray. A size mismatch may affect the printout.
6) When a test print is made on an envelope or small paper, any
printing outside the paper area may contaminate the inside of
the printer with toner. If this occurs, execute Cleaning from
the driver setup screen.
