From Windows, click "Start", "Settings", "Printers".
Next, double-click "Add Printer".
When the Add Printer Wizard screen appears, click "Next".
Choose "Local Printer", uncheck "Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer", and click "Next".
Select "USB" Port and click "Next".
In the next window, click the "Have Disk" button.
Note: For the next step, the three letters in the filename (such as "enu" in the following example) will correspond to the language code of the downloaded driver as explained in step 3.
Click "Browse" and go to the folder "c:\dj3600\3600\enu\drivers\Win2k_xp". A file, with a filename similar to "hpf3600k.inf", will be displayed. Select the file name and click "Open".
Click "OK" to continue. "hp deskjet 3600 series" will now be found in the Printers column. Click "Next".
Note: If another 3600 Series driver is already installed on this PC, you will be shown a window asking you to decide if you want to keep or replace the existing driver. Make your selection and click "Next"
Click "Next" to accept the default printer name (suggested), or rename the printer and click "Next".
Select "Yes" or "No" to print a test page and click "Next".
To complete the installation process, click "Finish". The printer driver files will now be installed and the hp deskjet 3600 series icon will be added to the "Printers" folder.

From Windows, click "Start", "Settings", "Printers".
Next, double-click "Add Printer".
When the Add Printer Wizard screen appears, click "Next".
Choose "Local Printer", uncheck "Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer", and click "Next".
Select "USB" Port and click "Next".
In the next window, click the "Have Disk" button.
Note: For the next step, the three letters in the filename (such as "enu" in the following example) will correspond to the language code of the downloaded driver as explained in step 3.
Click "Browse" and go to the folder "c:\dj3600\3600\enu\drivers\Win2k_xp". A file, with a filename similar to "hpf3600k.inf", will be displayed. Select the file name and click "Open".
Click "OK" to continue. "hp deskjet 3600 series" will now be found in the Printers column. Click "Next".
Note: If another 3600 Series driver is already installed on this PC, you will be shown a window asking you to decide if you want to keep or replace the existing driver. Make your selection and click "Next"
Click "Next" to accept the default printer name (suggested), or rename the printer and click "Next".
Select "Yes" or "No" to print a test page and click "Next".
To complete the installation process, click "Finish". The printer driver files will now be installed and the hp deskjet 3600 series icon will be added to the "Printers" folder.

Checklist for Wired Network Setup:
1. Turn the printer on.
2. Ensure the printer is connected to the network.
Checklist for Wireless Network Setup:
1. Turn the printer on.
2. Ensure the "Wireless" is turned on for the printer. (Typically signified by Blue Light on printer.)
3. Write down the wireless setting for your network. They are stored in the access point (the box with antennas).
4. To get to the access point:
a. Press the Windows key and the R key. Type CMD and press ENTER.
b. Type IPCONFIG and press ENTER.
c. Write down the IP address that appears in the line that says "Default Gateway". Example "192.162.0.1"
d. Press the Windows key and the R key. Type http:// and press ENTER . Example http://192.168.0.1. That will take you to the access point web server. Check your access point manual for more instructions.
e. You need to find the following settings.
i. SSID or Network name
ii. Encryption (None or disabled, WEP or WPA)
iii. Key or paraphrase
f. If you cannot find these settings, contact the manufacturer of your access point for help.
5. If your printer has an LCD display, press Setup, go to the network menu and select the wireless configuration option (usually called Wireless Setup Wizard) and follow instructions.
Note: If the printer cannot connect to your wireless network:
1. Ensure MAC address control/filter includes new printer's MAC addresses OR MAC address control/filter is turned "Off".
2. Ensure SID broadcasting is temporary enabled for easier setup.
3. Follow your setup instructions that came with your printer for more information on configuring your wireless printer.

Choose "Local Printer", uncheck "Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer", and click "Next".
Select "USB" Port and click "Next".
In the next window, click the "Have Disk" button.
Note: For the next step, the three letters in the filename (such as "enu" in the following example) will correspond to the language code of the downloaded driver as explained in step 3.
Click "Browse" and go to the folder "c:\dj3600\3600\enu\drivers\Win2k_xp". A file, with a filename similar to "hpf3600k.inf", will be displayed. Select the file name and click "Open".
Click "OK" to continue. "hp deskjet 3600 series" will now be found in the Printers column. Click "Next".
Note: If another 3600 Series driver is already installed on this PC, you will be shown a window asking you to decide if you want to keep or replace the existing driver. Make your selection and click "Next"
Click "Next" to accept the default printer name (suggested), or rename the printer and click "Next".
Select "Yes" or "No" to print a test page and click "Next".
To complete the installation process, click "Finish". The printer driver files will now be installed and the hp deskjet 3600 series icon will be added to the "Printers" folder.

Next, double-click "Add Printer".
When the Add Printer Wizard screen appears, click "Next".
Choose "Local Printer", uncheck "Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer", and click "Next".
Select "USB" Port and click "Next".
In the next window, click the "Have Disk" button.
Note: For the next step, the three letters in the filename (such as "enu" in the following example) will correspond to the language code of the downloaded driver as explained in step 3.
Click "Browse" and go to the folder "c:\dj3600\3600\enu\drivers\Win2k_xp". A file, with a filename similar to "hpf3600k.inf", will be displayed. Select the file name and click "Open".
Click "OK" to continue. "hp deskjet 3600 series" will now be found in the Printers column. Click "Next".
Note: If another 3600 Series driver is already installed on this PC, you will be shown a window asking you to decide if you want to keep or replace the existing driver. Make your selection and click "Next"
Click "Next" to accept the default printer name (suggested), or rename the printer and click "Next".
Select "Yes" or "No" to print a test page and click "Next".
To complete the installation process, click "Finish". The printer driver files will now be installed and the hp deskjet 3600 series icon will be added to the "Printers" folder.

Double-click on the "setup" file to start the installation program.
Follow the instructions on the installer screens to complete the installation.
Reminder: Do not connect the USB cable from the PC to the printer until prompted.

Choose "Local Printer", uncheck "Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer", and click "Next".
Select "USB" Port and click "Next".
In the next window, click the "Have Disk" button.
Note: For the next step, the three letters in the filename (such as "enu" in the following example) will correspond to the language code of the downloaded driver as explained in step 3.
Click "Browse" and go to the folder "c:\dj3600\3600\enu\drivers\Win2k_xp". A file, with a filename similar to "hpf3600k.inf", will be displayed. Select the file name and click "Open".
Click "OK" to continue. "hp deskjet 3600 series" will now be found in the Printers column. Click "Next".
Note: If another 3600 Series driver is already installed on this PC, you will be shown a window asking you to decide if you want to keep or replace the existing driver. Make your selection and click "Next"
Click "Next" to accept the default printer name (suggested), or rename the printer and click "Next".
Select "Yes" or "No" to print a test page and click "Next".
To complete the installation process, click "Finish". The printer driver files will now be installed and the hp deskjet 3600 series icon will be added to the "Printers" folder.
