This 1 year limited warranty plan includes priority toll-free technicalsupport and on-site response for the hardware repair of your printer.

The EPSON Preferred Plan offers premium warranty service for 1 year. We’d liketo offer you the opportunity to extend that premium level of service for anadditional 1 or 2 years, through the EPSON Preferred Plus Plan – Epson’sextended service contract for the EPSON Stylus Pro 9000 series. Just purchasethe Preferred Plus Plan and you’ll continue to have access to our toll-freepriority technical support line and on-site hardware service. You may purchasethe Preferred Plus Plan at the time you purchase your printer, or any time within
90 days of printer ownership.

Terms and Conditions
Limited Warranty for Commercial Products
What Is Cover e d : Epson America, Inc. (“Epson”) warrants to the first end-usercustomer that the EPSON Stylus Pro 9000 series ink jet printer covered by thislimited warranty statement, if purchased and given normal use in the United Statesor Canada, will conform to manufactur e r’s specification and will be free fr o mdefects in workmanship and materials for a period of one year from the date oforiginal purchase (proof of purchase r e q u i red). Epson also warrants that theconsumable ink cartridges enclosed with the printer will per f o rm to them a n u f a c t u re r’s specified usage, which usage may expire before the expiration ofthe limited warranty of the Epson Printer.
What Epson Will Do To Correct Pr o b l e m s : Should your EPSON Stylus Pro 9000series printer prove defective during the warranty period, please call the toll-fr e es u p p o rt line identified in this booklet. This line will be answered between 6:00 A Mand 8:00 P M Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, and between 7:00 A M and 4:00 P M
Pacific Time on Saturday (excluding Epson recognized holidays). Weekend hours aresubject to change without notice. When you call, please be pr e p a red to pr o v i d eyour Printer’s Serial Number and proof of purchase. An Epson call center technicianwill work with you to try to resolve the problem, and if your printer needs r e p a i r ,diagnose the issue and determine what parts may be r e q u i red. If hard w a re repair isr e q u i red, Epson will arrange for the service of your EPSON Stylus Pro 9000 seriesp r i n t e r.
On-Site Response: If the printer needs har d w a re repair and you are within Epson’son-site service ter r i t o ry, an Epson Authorized Servicer will be contacted to make therepair at your facility. Epson will usually dispatch repair parts and a technician to yourlocation for the next business day if determination that repair is r e q u i red occurs priorto 3:00 P M Pacific Time. If that determination is made after 3:00 P M, or duringweekend hours, dispatch will be for the second business day. An adult must beavailable to accept the parts delivery and be present at all times while a technician ison-site. Epson’ s shipment of service parts does not imply that replacement isre q u i red. For both on-site and depot r e p a i r, parts may be new or r e m a n u f a c t u red to
Epson standards. Repair parts (until installed) and replaced parts are the pr o p e rty of
Epson. Repair parts assume the remaining warranty period of the original pr o d u c t .Printer Exchange: Epson may, at its sole discretion, elect to replace a printer thatfor whatever reason appears to r e q u i re technical services beyond the capability offield r e p a i r. Under these circumstances Epson will replace the printer with the sameor comparable printer refurbished to the Epson standard of quality. (The r e p l a c e m e n tprinter will not include promotional materials, accessories, stands, documentation,manuals, software, or cables.) The customer must be able to receive, unpack, andinstall the replacement printer, and pr e p a re the defective printer for r e t u rn shipmentby following the pr o c e d u res described in the user manual. The repacked defective printer will be picked up by a carrier designated by Epson. If the defective product isnot pr e p a red for r e t u rn within 7 business days of receipt of the replacement printer,the customer will be invoiced at the prevailing manufactur e r’ s suggested retail pricefor the replacement printer. The replacement printer assumes the remaining war r a n t yperiod of the original pr o d u c t .
Epson Depot Repair Response: If your location is outside Epson’ s on-site ser v i c et e rr i t o ry, you must ship your printer to Epson for r e p a i r. Areas outside the on-sites e rvice terr i t o ry include, for example, U.S. territories and possessions. It is yourresponsibility to properly pr e p a re the printer for shipping as described in yourdocumentation and securely package it in its original container or equivalent. Epsonwill repair your printer within 7 business days following receipt and then r e t u rn it toyou via best available method. It is your obligation to re-assemble the r e p a i red printer.
What This W a rranty Does Not Cover:1 ) S e rvice related to periodic maintenance of the Waste Ink System. The need for thiss e rvice is indicated on the printer’ s front control panel as either “MAINTENANCE
REQ. 0100” or “SERVICE REQ. 00000100”.
2 ) Any damage caused by using unsuitable inks or ink systems in the printer. Pleasenote that the printer is not designed for use with the following:• dye-sublimation inks
• pigmented inks (in the EPSON Stylus Pro 9000)
• dye inks (in the EPSON Stylus Pro 9500)
• bulk ink delivery systems
Use of any of the above may cause damage not covered by the war r a n t y.
3 ) Any damage caused by use of non-Epson inks or ink car t r i d g e s .
4 ) Any damage caused by thir d - p a rty software, applications, parts, components orperipheral devices added to the product after its shipment from Epson, e.g. dealeror user-added boards, components, or cables.
5 ) Any damage caused by misuse, abuse, improper installation, neglect, impr o p e rshipping, disasters such as fire, flood, lightning, improper electrical curr e n t s ,s o f t w a re problems, or interaction with non-Epson pr o d u c t s .

6 ) Any damage from service per f o rmed by other than an Epson Authorized Ser v i c e r.
7 )S e rvice when the printer is used outside the U.S. and Canada.
8 )S e rvice where the printer label, logo, rating label, or serial number has beenr e m o v e d .
R e m e d i e s: Your exclusive remedy and Epson’s entire liability for a material breach ofthis Agreement will be limited to a refund of the price paid for the Epson pr o d u c t sc o v e red by this war r a n t y. Any action for breach of warranty must be brought within
15 months of the date of original purchase. Epson is not liable for per f o rm a n c edelays or for nonper f o rmance due to causes beyond its reasonable control. Except asp rovided in this written war r a n t y, neither Epson nor its affiliates shall be liable for anyloss, inconvenience or damage, including direct, special, incidental or consequentialdamages, including lost profits, cost of substitute equipment, downtime, claims oft h i rd parties, including customers, or injury to pr o p e rty resulting from the use orinability to use the Epson products, whether resulting from a breach of warranty orany other legal theory. Some jurisdictions do not allow limits on warranties orremedies for breach in certain transactions. In such jurisdictions, the limits in thisparagraph and the preceding paragraph may not apply.
In Canada, warranties include both warranties and conditions.
G o v e rning Laws: Any dispute arising out of this Agreement will be settled byarbitration to be conducted in Los Angeles, California, in accordance with thec o m m e rcial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, and
Judgement upon award r e n d e red by arbitrator(s) may be entered into any courthaving jurisdiction thereof. This agreement shall be construed in accordance with thelaws of the State of California, except that the arbitration clause shall be enfor c e dpursuant to the Federal Arbitration Act.EPSON and EPSON Stylus are registered trademarks of Seiko Epson Corporation.
