Windows XP Driver Download and Installation
NOTE: filename when used within these instructions should be substituted with the
actual filename of the driver you want to download and install.
NOTE: The Windows XP Desktop screen can be in 2 modes: Default or Classic. The remaining instructions require your Desktop screen to be in Classic mode.
To set your Desktop to Classic mode:
CM1. Click the “Start” button
CM2. Click the “Run” button
CM3. In the “Run” field, type in the word “control”
CM4. Click the “OK” button
CM5. In the upper lefthand part of the “Control Panel;” you will see: “Switch to Classic View”
CM6. Click on “Switch to Classic View”
Linksys recommends that you create a folder on your C: drive into which you will store your new driver. If you feel you can create a folder without the below instructions, please do create this folder with the name Linksys-Driver, as the instructions for downloading and installing the driver refer to this folder name.
How to Create a Folder
A. Right mouse-button click the “Start” button.
B. Highlight and click on “Explore”
C. Click “Local Disk [C:].
D. In the screen-top navigation bar, click on “File”.
