Installation of the Creatix ISDN-ISA-Card under Windows 98

Conditions:

1. Before you install the Creatix ISDN driver please download the directory < DRV95GER.EXE > from our Online Service. Make the application < DRV95GER.EXE >. Upon that, the driver extract itself in a new directory < \ISDN >.
2. Important:
Before you install the Creatix ISDN driver, all other existing driver must be de-installed (see also the directory < DEINSTMISCH.TXT >).

PnP-Card:
In case that the ISDN-Card was already built in the PC before Windows 95 was installed, a driver for the ISDN-card will be installed during the installation of Windows 95. This driver is an old version and has to be removed before you install the Creatix ISDN driver (see also the file < DEINSTALLMISCH.TXT >).

3. If the Microsoft Accelerator Pack exists under < Connection > in your Windows-Setup, remove this ISDN driver and the Dial-Up Network. To reach the Windows-Setup make the following steps:
< Start – Settings – Control Panel – Add/Remove Programs – Windows-Setup > make a new installation of the Dial-Up Network.

Creatix S0-16-Card under Windows 98:

Click the button < Add > and choose the Network Card as an installation component. Click the button < disc > and put in the directory < \ISDN > for the driver installation. Choose under < Select Network Card > the Creatix ISDN S0/16 Card and confirm with < OK >.

2. The setup is copying some driver files. After that the Creatix ISDN S0/16 Card is registered under Network.

3. Look at the Properties of the Creatix ISDN S0/16 Card. If the jumper is on the left side, the ISDN Card has the E/A address area D80 (if the jumper is on the right side it’s E80 and without jumper it’s alike F80).
As interrupt we recommend 10, 11 or 5. Pay attention, that no conflict message is shown. Close the window < Properties > and < Network > of the Creatix ISDN S0/16 Card with < OK >.

4. In the window < ISDN-Configuration > click the button < Next >.
Put in the D-Channel-Protocol, which you are using. Normally it’s the D-Channel-Protocol DSS1.

5. In the following window, put in the phone number of your ISDN S0-Connection. Use the number given by your Telephone Net Provider, without area code. If you are working at an branch exchange, put in the phone number of your extension phone. Click the button < Next > and go to < Finish >.

6. Now the files will be copied. Have the MS Windows 98 CD available. If there is a version conflict follow the recommendation from MS Windows 98.

7. Confirm the message, that the PC should be rebooted.

8. After rebooting the PC the CAPI-installation is finished.

9. To test the function of the driver, make a so called < Call back test >.
Start the application < VSWTEST.EXE > respectively < VSWTEST2.EXE > from the directory < \ISDN >.
