- PS/2 or Serial mouse port
- Windows '95

Before You Begin:

Your system may include other mouse enhancement software that can
interfere with the VersaPad driver installation. To avoid conflicts,
remove any mouse software before continuing.

| A. Mouse enhancement software is any driver that adds |
| features to the Windows '95 standard mouse drivers. |
| The Windows '95 standard mouse drivers include: |
| - Standard PS/2 Port Mouse |
| - Standard Serial Mouse |
| |
| You need to remove mouse enhancement software before |
| installing the VersaPad driver. |
| |
| Some examples of mouse enhancement software are: |
| - Logitech (MouseWare) |
| - Synaptics |
| - IntelliMouse |
| - IntelliType |
| - TweakUI |
| - Kensington (MouseWorks) |
| - Interlink Electronics' VersaPad (OEM and Retail) |
| and VersaPoint 4.0 (used on non-VersaPad pointing |
| devices) |

| If you have any mouse enhancement software installed, |
| remove it according to the manufacturer's instructions. |
| These steps may work for some mouse enhancement software:|
| A. From the Start menu, highlight Settings and click on |
| Control Panel. |
| B. In the Control Panel, double click on Add/Remove |
| Programs. |
| C. Select any mouse software that appears in the list. |
| D. Click on the Add/Remove button. |

Installation

A. Power off the computer
B. Unplug your mouse
C. Replace your mouse with the VersaPad
D. Power on the computer and wait for Windows '95 to initialize.
E. If the VersaPad is detected as "New Hardware Found":
1. Insert the VersaPad Diskette into the A: drive
2. Click the Next button.
3. Click the Next button again, even if the device is shown as a
. Microsoft Mouse
4. The next page will indicate that a VersaPad driver is found.
. a. If two drivers are shown, select the one matching the port
. the VersaPad is connected to (PS/2 or Serial.
. b. Click the Finish button.
