New install of NetWare 4.2, 5.0, 5.1 and 6.0
============================================
(Versions prior 4.2 are not supported by this driver)
Note: Before hard disks connected to the controller can be used they have to
be configured first in the setup tool which can be accessed on boot by
pressing Ctrl+G.

- create a driver diskette from the ICP System CD
(simply copy all files and directories from \drivers\netware to a diskette)

- press ENTER on the storage driver list
- press INS in the storage controller driver menu

Fresh installation of NetWare 5.0 using GDTRX.HAM driver:
---------------------------------------------------------
- IMPORTANT: The GDTRX.HAM driver depends on a later version of the
NWPA.NLM than the one shipped with the NetWare 5.0 CD.
Without the NWPA.NLM update, the GDTRX.HAM driver will fail to load.
The following procedure will allow to upgrade the NWPA.NLM on the
fly during OS installation.
- create a driver diskette from the ICP System CD
(simply copy all files and directories from \drivers\netware to a diskette)
- start the OS installation from the NetWare bootable CD
- the NetWare Install will eventually load a "Welcome" screen asking to
verify the startup directory (C:\NWSERVER)
- press Alt+F10 to exit the installation.
- at the NetWare console prompt, type "down" and press ENTER
(the installation exits to the boot drive's DOS prompt)
- insert the driver diskette into the A: drive
- if the NetWare startup directory is on drive C:, run A:\INSTALL\NWUPDATE.BAT,
otherwise create a subdirectory named NWUPDATE at the root of the boot drive
and copy all the files from A:\DRIVERS\5XX to this NWUPDATE subdirectory
- leave the NetWare 5.0 bootable CD in place, remove the driver diskette
- reboot the server
- after rebooting the server, the NetWare 5.0 Install will start again
- right after the Accept of the License Agreement screen, select the
"Continue with Existing Partition" option
- when installing a new server the following message may show up:
"Warning: A previously installed version of NetWare was detected in C:\NWSERVER.
If you choose to install a new server, all data on the existing server will be lost.
".
