2. Download the Windows 2000 driver from our website, to a conveniently easy to find location in your computer.
3. Extract downloaded driver file to your local hard drive for easier retrieval.
4. Locate the folder from the extraction and highlight the “setup” icon; right click on mouse and select properties.
5. Locate the “Compatibility” tab.
6. Check the box labeled “ Run this program for compatibility mode:”
7. Select “Windows 2000” and finish the setup by clicking “ok”.
8. Run the setup.exe file and follow the onscreen procedure for driver installation.

Scantools

This readme file contains information that have not been fully documented
elsewhere. When you have finished reading this file, choose "Exit" from the
File menu to return to Program Manager.

1. A 256-color super VGA or more colors display card is recommended.
It is OK if you are using a 16-color VGA card; however, color
quality of your images may be slightly inferior. Scantools can
compensate for that and display images as well as possible.

2. You can run Scantools under Windows 3.1 or later version.

3. Notes about using TWAIN-compliant scanners:
(a) In old systems, click OK after the scanning is completed will save
the scanned image and transfer it to Windows. The screen
also jumps to Windows screen.
(b) If you click Cancel right after the scanning is completed, the
screen will pop up a dialog box asking if you want to save the image
before quitting.
