Windows ME Driver Download and Installation

NOTE 2: filename when used within these instructions should be substituted with the
actual filename of the driver you want to download and install.

Linksys recommends that you create a folder on your C: drive into which you will store your new driver. If you feel you can create a folder without the below instructions, please do create this folder with the name Linksys-Driver, as the instructions for downloading and installing the driver refer to this folder name.

How to Create a Folder

A. Right mouse-button click the “Start” button.
B. Highlight and click on “Explore”
C. Click “Local Disk [C:].
D. In the screen-top navigation bar, click on “File”.
E. In the menu, highlight “New”.
F. Click the “Folder”.
G. In the Local Disk [C:] window list (right-hand side of screen), you will see a folder symbol and the highlighted words “New Folder” under it.
H. Keyin “Linksys-Driver” and press the “Enter” key.
I. You have successfully created a folder named “Linksys-Driver”.
J. Close the “Explore” window by clicking the “X” in the upper right-hand screen corner.

Downloading and Installing the Linksys Driver

1. In the File Download window, click on the “save this file to disk” button.
2. Click “OK”
3. In the Save As window…..
4. The “Save In:” click the pull-down menu arrow (right-hand side of this window.
5. Look in the pull-down menu list for the “Linksys-Driver” folder.
